Rondevu
Built in Madison, Wisconsin by RDVU Connect LLC (founded September 2025), Rondevu launched as the only nightlife platform combining real-time discovery, social coordination, and business operations into one ecosystem. Two companion apps — Rondevu Now (consumer, 4.9-star rating) and Rondevu Event Manager (B2B, 127 active operators) — serve opposite sides of the same night out. Both cost $0. No advertising. No recurring charges. No data monetization. Infrastructure costs funded through optional premium placement tiers launching Q1 2027.
Consumer Experience: Rondevu Now
Open the app and a GPS-powered map reveals every bar, lounge, restaurant, and concert hall within a configurable radius (default 5 miles, max 25). Each of the 510+ listed pins shows live information: tonight's lineup, cover charges ($0–$75 range), happy hour windows (typically 4–7 PM), and occupancy trends updated every 90 seconds. Swipe between Map View and List View depending on preference. Three quick-action buttons — Find Friends, Send a Rondevu, Events Near Me — sit at the top of every screen for 1-tap navigation.

Interactive City Map
Color-coded pins distinguish between bars (gold), concerts (purple), festivals (cyan), and private gatherings (pink). A tap on any of the 510+ pins expands into a rich card: cover price ($0–$75), music genre (12 categories including Jazz, EDM, Country, Hip-Hop, Rock, Latin, Reggae, House, Techno, Pop, R&B, and Indie), dress code, and ratings from verified attendees (1–5 scale). Filters narrow results by distance (0.5–25 mi), category, price range ($–$$$$), and operating hours (open now, opening within 2 hours, or all). Connected multi-stop routes appear as animated paths for organized pub crawls with 3–12 waypoints.
Venue Detail Pages
Each location maintains a living profile: photo carousel (up to 20 images), genre classification (Jazz, EDM, Country, Hip-Hop, Rock, Latin, Reggae, House, Techno, Pop, R&B, Indie), max occupancy figure (typically 50–2,500), average price indicator ($–$$$$), and a 500-character description written by the operator. A Follow button triggers push notifications (delivered within 800ms) whenever that spot posts new content. The Memories tab shows geo-pinned photos from past visitors — raw, unfiltered snapshots of the actual atmosphere.
Anonymous Social Matching
The flagship social feature: pick a venue or gathering you love, then share it with a stranger matched by 3+ overlapping taste signals within a 15-mile radius. Your identity stays hidden throughout. If both parties attend the same night and report a positive experience (thumbs-up within 48 hours), a mutual reveal option unlocks. Two sends per 24-hour window prevent spam while preserving spontaneity. Unlike dating apps (Tinder, Hinge, Bumble), the focus is the shared experience — not a profile photo or bio.
Business Operations: Rondevu Event Manager
The companion B2B application handles everything behind the curtain: scheduling (supports recurring weekly, biweekly, or monthly cadences), digital ticketing with unique 256-bit QR codes, door scanning (average scan time: 1.2 seconds on iPhone 14+ and Pixel 7+), Stripe-powered payment processing with T+2 deposits, real-time occupancy counters (updated every 60 seconds), and automated push notifications to followers. Operators manage menus (up to 50 items), 5 pricing tiers, capacity limits (enforced via automatic waitlist at 95% full), and role-based staff access levels from a single tabbed interface.

For Bar & Restaurant Operators
510+ venues already listed across 4 metro areas: Madison (WI, 238 locations), Milwaukee (WI, 147), Chicago (IL, 89), and Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MN, 42). Operators create a branded storefront in under 4 minutes: upload 1–20 photos, set 7-day operating hours, describe the atmosphere in 500 characters, and publish tonight's specials (unlimited entries). Revenue from paid-entry gatherings deposits via Stripe within 48 hours minus standard processing (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). No monthly subscription. No onboarding fee. No revenue share beyond Stripe's standard cut. Average operator saves $2,400/year compared to Eventbrite's pricing model.
For Performing Musicians & DJs
Performers maintain a portfolio page with embedded audio samples (30-second previews), past performance dates (calendar view), genre tags (up to 5 of 12 available categories), and a public availability calendar synced weekly. Venue operators browse the directory filtered by genre, location radius (1–50 miles), and open dates — then initiate booking conversations directly in-app. Over 200 artists registered across 47 genres in the first 6 months. Average booking response time: 18 hours.
For Campus & Community Groups
Chapter presidents, philanthropy chairs, and club treasurers manage rosters of 20–500 members with 8 role assignments (President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary, Social Chair, Risk Manager, New Member Educator, Member), attendance tracking across multiple semesters (Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026), and exportable CSV reports. Multi-stop route planning supports pub crawls with 3–12 ordered locations, estimated walking times between each stop (Google Maps API), and capacity reservations at participating venues along the route.

Common Questions
What does "Rondevu" mean? A deliberate respelling of the French word rendezvous (first used in English circa 1591) — meaning a planned or spontaneous meeting point. The name captures both the organized (ticketed gatherings with 50–2,500 attendees) and unplanned (anonymous matching between 2 strangers) sides of the product.
What does it cost? $0.00 per month, perpetually. Both apps — consumer and business — carry no price tag. Stripe's standard 2.9% + $0.30 applies only to paid ticket transactions (average ticket: $12.50). RDVU Connect LLC takes 0% additional commission.
Where is it available? Currently active in 4 metro areas: Madison WI (population 269,840), Milwaukee WI (577,222), Chicago IL (2,746,388), and Minneapolis–Saint Paul MN (429,954). National rollout targeting 25 cities by December 2026.
How do geo-tagged Memories work? Tap "Drop a Memory" at any physical location. Attach 1 photo (JPEG, PNG, or HEIC, max 10 MB) and a 280-character caption. The pin appears on the public map at those exact GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude to 6 decimal places), visible to other users within a 500-meter radius or when browsing that venue's profile page.
What is anonymous matching? You select a gathering. The algorithm identifies another user with 3+ overlapping interest tags (out of 47 total) within 15 miles. They receive the recommendation without your name, photo, or any identifying metadata. Identity reveals require bilateral opt-in consent within 48 hours of attendance confirmation.
